Andrew's Stay at Texas Children's Hospital| Family Photographer- Covington LA Mandeville LA Northshore

"For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.  Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you.  You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart. "  Jeremiah 29:11-14

When I asked Meradith Browne if she wanted a photo from my time with them posted, without hesitation she replied, "Please.  I want people to pray for Andrew.  You have free reign to post whatever you'd like."  Well, I'm honored to, Meradith.  Truly honored.

Andrew is not quite 6 months old.  He is so precious.  He is completely in love with his mother and father.  He loves to be touched.  He finds comfort in music.  He is a warrior.  He is mighty.  He is loved and cared for by the Almighty.

Andrew was born in a beautiful home birth surrounded by midwives and family in Pearl River, LA.  He was loved beyond measure even before that while growing in his momma's tummy.  Ultrasounds never showed anything for concern.  Meradith and Drew had him home for over a month before they knew something was not right.  That in itself is such a miracle now seeing the journey that they have been on.

First, they thought it was only a heart issue.  After months and months, they finally have a full diagnosis for their sweet baby boy.  He is fighting against Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA), Atrial Septal Defect (ASD), Ventricular Septal Defect (VSD), and vascular issues causing Necrotic toes and fingers.   After receiving the news about his conditions, it was mentioned that there was a clinical trial to treat the SMA, but they have since learned Andrew is not a candidate.  Little ones that have been diagnosed with this disease have very grim outlooks.  They usually don't live longer than 1-2 years of age.

I can not imagine what the Browne family is going through.  I can't imagine on so many levels.  I can't image day in and out seeing your precious child laying in the hospital.  I can not imagine having my family not seeing each other every day.  I can't imagine a daddy not able to see his baby every day.  I can't imaging brothers and a sister not having their family together because of such a dire cause.

However, I can fathom a some things.  I witnessed them first hand. You see, I was able to visit Andrew in Texas Children's Hospital.  I can see that Andrew is surrounded with love.  I can see that his is mighty.  I can see that he has a family that will do anything and everything for him.  I can see he has siblings that are STRONG warriors without them even knowing their strength.  I can see a mother that weeps tears of sorrow dripping with prayers every day.  I can see a father longing to inhale every smell of his boy and soak every inch of him in.  I can see a community RISING UP to pray and flood Heaven's gates with prayers for miracles and provision.  I see hearts of compassion and empathy helping to carry a weary family through gritty darkness.

So friends, I challenge you.  Please share this.  Please ask friends and family to support the Browne family.  Please give.  GIVE.  Give of your hearts and soul with prayer.  Give with your means by monetary donations.  Give with your time by bringing a meal.  GIVE.

"Lord, we pray for miracles.  We pray for miracles in whatever way You give them.  We thank You for Your sovereignty and mercy.  We thank You for loving us before the foundation of the world.  Thank you for Andrew Harrison Browne.  Thank You for his rock-solid family.  Thank You for the doctors and nurses that work tirelessly for his health.  Thank You for the wonderful people that have donated breast milk to keep Andrew healthy.  Thank You for those that have reached into the Browne's lives to help with caring for children and school and washing clothes.  Thank You for faith.  Thank You growing the faith of Meredith and Drew through this so they can keep pursuing You when things grow darker.

We ask for miracles.  We ask for them to be COVERED with love.  Please hide them in the cleft of Your rock and exult over them with Your loud singing.  Please remind them every moment that You are the MIGHTY ONE that will restore.  The Lord gives and takes away, and we thank You for Your sovereign grace.  Lord, please heal Andrew.  Please heal him in whatever way that is necessary.  Please carry Meredith and Andrew in Your love.  Give peace, Lord.  Give peace.

We thank and ask all things in Jesus' name.  Amen."
