Fabian + Amanda - Part I

Part I of their love story.

Amanda and I had worked at births together for a long while. I was floored and honored when she reached out about this surprise for her lovey. They were long distance for a while, so airports and visiting was their rhythm for a bit. This was one of those visits. The plan was simple, we meet at MYO in the middle of the night near Christmas and she would surprise him with a sentimental card message and bring some fun to the closing of his travel day. The mission was a success! I had not photographed in an airport. On a personal level, I found it an incredibly inspiring place. Something about people so small in grand and tall ceiling places has always been such a beautiful juxtaposition. I like to make things like this kind of a creative game, essentially. How can I keep the focus on the subjects when the space is so large. Well, bottom line, I used the space to tell their story instead of competing with it. It was perfect!

Also, spoiler, they get married! I’d call it a success! The next few blogs I will be unpacking their love story from my lens. I have so much of their love story that has graced my camera. I excited to share it all with you!
