Amy + Amber's Dreamy Backyard Micro-Wedding

Following on the eve of my first elopement, a friend recommended me to Amy and Amber for their wedding in Lafayette. Such sweet memories come to the front of my mind as I look at this couple, their day, and their friends and family. This sweet couple were undeniably in love. They simply click. They fit. The love, kindness and respect that they give to one another, was woven through every moment of their wedding and even into their family and friends attending.

Amy and Amber; my first micro wedding.

The day was gorgeous. There was a breeze in the air that day. It was in April and the Louisiana heat had not fully kicked in yet. Butterflies were floating on the blooming flowers of the neighborhood garden. Life seemed to slow down on their wedding day. Don’t get me wrong, festivities were in place and rolling right on cue, but the day had slowed down in that strange Louisiana-day way. If you have visited New Orleans and been to the French Quarter, time slows down in a strange, magical way. If you squint your eyes, you can almost see yourself back in 1920 NOLA or something. That’s how their wedding day felt. Time in Lafayette slowed down day, and I’m in full belief it was because of this wedding. It was magic in real time.

Thank you, Amy and Amber, for trusting me with moments so special. Ainslee and I loved being a part of your special day. We wish you all the wonderful in your marriage and family. You deserve all the lovely.

XO,

Erika
